iEat Foods signs cricket star Moeen Ali as Brand Ambassador
ieat foods, founded by 29 year old halal food entrepreneur Shazia Saleem, has signed up England International cricket star Moeen Ali to front their 2015 marketing campaign as they look to build on their launch in national supermarkets last year. ieat foods was founded by a Saleem who is a foodie frustrated by years of restricted, ‘same old’ boring choices. Bubbling away for years, this frustration fuelled a personal quest to create the most exciting halal food range ever developed in the UK.
ieat foods is the UK’s first ethical halal chilled ready meals brand, currently on sale in Sainsbury’s and Tesco. Offering a range of British, Italian and Far Eastern dishes, as well as pastries and pies, ieat ends years of hunger for Muslims wanting great tasting everyday convenient food. Now in nearly 250 stores in its first 12 months with plans to grow further in 2015, ieat is one of the largest ready meal brand launches by a start up in UK history.
“Moeen Ali is the perfect person to front ieat’s marketing activity this year” said Shazia Saleem, “he’s a super talented athlete that has done incredibly well to break through to the England team, and being proud to be Muslim and British is central to ieat’s values”.
“As a Muslim and as an athlete I care about what I eat; I need wholesome filling food that I can trust is halal and will keep me going” said Moeen Ali ahead of the 2015 ICC World Cup in Australia; “ieat is easy to cook, tastes home-made and is great for the whole family“.
