About the author
Sumayya Usmani is a writer and cookery teacher based in Glasgow, Scotland. She specialises in the cuisine of Pakistan. She teaches Pakistani cookery at various schools across the country including Divertimenti and Sophie Grigson Cookery School. Her book Summers Under the Tamarind Tree was awarded Best First Cookbook in the UK by Gourmand International, and was a Cookbook of the Year in the Guardian, Independent, Irish Times and Sunday Herald.
